Restored 1940s Cream Silk Nightgown with Embroidered Floral Bodice & Unique Wrap Belt
This 1940s cream silk nightgown is a breathtaking heirloom piece that radiates romance and history. Featuring delicate floral embroidery across the chest , the sheer overlay creates a soft drape that wraps around the front and ties in the back — a design both flattering and unique to the era.
Crafted from luxurious silk, this gown moves like water and feels like a dream. It arrived to me with some tiny flaws from its long journey through time — several tiny pinholes — which I lovingly covered using vintage embroidered tulle appliqués. The result is a piece that carries its history proudly, with new life breathed into every stitch.
