Vintage 1940s Ivory Silk & Lace Robe – Bridal or Everyday Elegance
This breathtaking 1940s ivory robe is pure old-Hollywood glamour. Crafted from fluid silk with a semi-sheer chiffon belt and chiffon panel at the front of the skirt, it drapes like a dream and moves with whisper-light grace. The silhouette features soft gathering at the shoulders and a defined waist, creating an elegant, romantic shape.

Sourced in Buenos Aires from the estate of a remarkable woman lovingly known as Mamita (mummy in Spanish) , this piece carries a truly unique story. Mamita lived between Buenos Aires and Paris and acquired most of her wardrobe in the City of Light. Her style was impeccable — as seen in the final photo, she was the embodiment of vintage elegance.Details:

Any accessories used in the picture are not included, there are there to show how the outfit could be worn or a decorative object. I need to be honest. I sell Vintage and Antique Clothing and I would say anything before 30s should be treated with care and worn with care. Mostly these items will be fragile especially 20s silk or Edwardian very fine Muslin. Some can not handle stress and will tear easily. Should be bought a size bigger where possible or should be a little loose on.
