This breathtaking 1950s nightgown is crafted from luminous blue silk and adorned with intricate black lace embellishments. The bodice features stunning embroidery, delicate plissé detailing, and three artfully sewn sections covered in black lace appliqués—each one adding texture and elegance to this already exceptional piece.
Sourced in Buenos Aires from the estate of an extraordinary woman known affectionately as Mamita (Spanish for “Mummy”). Though her full name must remain a mystery, you’ll find other nightgowns from her wardrobe listed separately—some even embroidered with the name Mamita.
She lived between Buenos Aires and Paris, curating a wardrobe full of timeless sophistication—many of her garments were purchased in Paris. The last photo in this listing is actually Mamita herself—just look at her style!
