1930s/40s Bridal Nightgown – A Rare Vintage Treasure
This extraordinary late 1930s to early 1940s bridal nightgown is a testament to timeless romance and craftsmanship. Crafted from soft beige silk, it features delicate lace shoulder straps and lace embellishment on bodice and its also adorned with intricate floral embroidery. The gown’s unique design includes elegant ties at the back of the neck and waist, allowing for a customizable fit that flatters the silhouette. A graceful lace slit at the front cascades into a beautifully detailed lace hem, showcasing the luxurious loungewear style of the era.
To preserve its beauty, I have lovingly restored this piece by covering four tiny pinholes near the hem and one on the bodice with vintage lace appliqués. These additions blend seamlessly with the original design, enhancing its unique charm.

All measurements are taken with the garment lying flat (in inches). (1 inch = 2.54 cm)
* Shoulder: 15”
• Armpit to armpit: 21 1/4” (varies because it closes with a belt).
• Waist: 16 1/2” (varies because it closes with a belt).
• Hips: 36”
• Total Length (shoulder to hem): 58” front - 59 1/2” back.
It didn’t fit my Large Mannequin and was too big for the Size 2-4 mannequin. Probably a medium. Please Check measurements.
