This pure silk elegant piece features delicate pintucked detailing radiating from the neckline, sheer puff sleeves, a graceful empire waist, and a fluid floor-length silhouette typical of fine 1930s silk loungewear.
Originally found with extensive age-related damage, the gown underwent a careful artistic restoration. Antique lace fragments were hand-applied throughout the garment to stabilize fragile areas while honoring its history and preserving as much original silk as possible.
The result is a romantic one-of-a-kind textile artwork that blends original craftsmanship with contemporary restoration techniques.
