A breathtaking antique silk and tulle treasure, adorned with delicate filet lace panels throughout that give the entire piece an heirloom, museum-worthy charm. This dress is a perfect example of early-1900s lingerie craftsmanship — soft beige silk trims, airy tulle layers, and intricate lacework created entirely by hand.
Please note: it is not in mint condition. The beige silk trims show natural age and the tulle under-dress has 3 tiny pinholes (not visible when worn). Despite this, the dress remains completely wearable and retains all its ethereal beauty.
The original waist is extremely tiny — only 18”, typical of the period. The mannequin in the photos is size 2/4 and the waist was too small.
The good news: the dress’s construction allows for thoughtful adjustments.
A skilled seamstress can easily make subtle changes — such as opening the back or adjusting hidden seams — to make the waist more comfortable and fit a larger size, while keeping all the lace and original detailing

• A marked XS piece may have medium-sized shoulders and hips but a tiny waist (corset-era sizing).
