Measurements
A beautiful late 1930s to early 1940s nightgown, thoughtfully hand dyed in a soft dusty mauve that gives the piece an entirely new life while honoring its original elegance.
The fluid bias-cut silhouette gently skims the body, while the embroidered illusion tulle yoke and cape sleeves create an unmistakably romantic Art Deco feel. The original floral embroidery has been preserved, and several small vintage lace appliqués were carefully added to disguise areas of wear, blending naturally into the design.
The hand dye process created subtle tonal variations throughout the fabric. These marbled effects are part of the artistic process, making every piece completely unique rather than perfectly uniform.
