The softly gathered shoulders create gentle volume through the bodice before flowing into a flattering empire waist and fluid skirt that moves beautifully with every step. A matching self-tie sash allows the waist to be adjusted while preserving the relaxed elegance characteristic of late 1930s lingerie.
The bodice is decorated with delicate floral embroidery, giving the gown a refined, romantic look that feels both timeless and unmistakably antique.
The fabric has a wonderfully fluid drape with a soft luminous finish. The original fiber content label is no longer present, so the exact composition cannot be guaranteed. Based on its appearance and hand, it may be silk or a high-quality rayon satin typical of the period. Condition
Good antique condition with some signs of age.
The embroidered bodice remains beautiful.
A small antique lace appliqué has been carefully added near the lower back hem to reinforce a damaged area while preserving the integrity and beauty of the original gown. The repair blends sympathetically with the piece and respects its age.
There are also a few faint marks and subtle signs of wear consistent with an authentic garment that is nearly ninety years old. Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
