At Lulu Boop Vintage, we curate and revive rare garments so they may live again.
This is a true Edwardian cotton lingerie dress, dating to the early 1900s, delicately constructed in sheer lightweight cotton with intricate lace detailing along the neckline and sleeves.
Over time, the original piece developed areas of wear, as expected from a garment of this age. It has been thoughtfully restored in our atelier, with each intervention carried out in respect of the original garment.
The dress has been hand dyed to achieve its rich golden tone, enhancing the softness and transparency of the antique cotton. Areas of loss have been carefully addressed: sections have been stabilized using antique lace appliqués, while the upper bodice has been reconstructed using antique fabric and lace consistent with the period.
The result is a piece that exists between past and present — an authentic Edwardian garment reimagined as a wearable work of art.
The silhouette is loose and fluid, with gentle gathers falling from the lace yoke, typical of the Edwardian era. It may be worn naturally for an ethereal, flowing look.
A ribbon is included to softly cinch the waist if desired, offering an alternative, more defined silhouette.
Sheer and lightweight, this piece layers beautifully and carries the quiet fragility and romance of true antique textiles.
Condition:
Antique condition with visible signs of age and restoration. There are scattered areas of thinning and wear consistent with age, which have been stabilized using antique lace appliqués. The upper bodice has been reconstructed with period-appropriate materials. The hand-dye process creates natural tonal variation throughout, enhancing its character. Structurally wearable, but delicate and to be handled with care.
A rare opportunity to own an authentic Edwardian garment, thoughtfully restored to be worn and appreciated once again.

Fit & Sizing Notes
Vintage and antique garments do not follow modern sizing standards. Many were handmade or custom-tailored for one individual. Size tags, when present, are for reference only — measurements are essential. I’m always happy to assist with fit questions.
Condition & Care

Edwardian & Victorian considerations:
• Corset-era pieces often have very small waists with broader shoulders or hips
