A romantic late 1960s to early 1970s full-length robe,dressing gown, in luminous white floral jacquard satin, designed with an elegant Old Hollywood-inspired silhouette.
The robe features a softly gathered bust, a fitted waist, long flowing sleeves with gathered cuffs, and a beautifully full skirt. An exceptional row of small faux-pearl buttons runs down the front, creating a delicate and highly feminine focal point. The subtle floral pattern appears throughout the sleeves and skirt and becomes more visible as the fabric catches the light.
This one-of-a-kind piece has been thoughtfully restored and embellished in the Lulu Boop Vintage atelier. Two vertical lace trims were added to the bodice, with an additional lace detail placed at the lower front waist. Two embroidered floral appliqués were also added near the hem. These additions were carefully positioned to conceal or reinforce areas of previous damage while complementing the robe’s original romantic character.
Wear it as bridal getting-ready attire, layered over a minimalist slip dress or lingerie set, or styled open as a dramatic evening duster. For a more contemporary look, pair it with a silk camisole and tailored trousers, or a simple bodysuit and high-waisted jeans.
CONDITION:
Fair vintage condition with considerable age-related wear. The satin shows numerous pulls, snags, surface irregularities, small marks, areas of thinning, and general wear throughout. The added lace trims and embroidered appliqués conceal or reinforce some previously damaged areas.
This remains a beautiful and wearable vintage robe when handled with care, but it is not in pristine condition. It is best appreciated as a delicately restored, one-of-a-kind vintage piece. Please review all photographs closely, as they form an important part of the condition description.
No fabric-content label is present. The floral jacquard satin is likely rayon, but the exact composition cannot be confirmed.
