SUNNING, DIFFERENT , SO UNIQUE 1910s Evening Skirt. Two layers, one satin and the top one a beautiful lace. The satin is lined with a very nice chiffon. I honestly haven’t done anything similar online. It has the perfect length of tail. You can see the Brand in the waist: Marie Boglia - Buenos Aires.

 Originally it had the bow at the bottom front with velvet surrounding the skirt joining at the bow. The bow and the velvet was pretty damaged so I used the usable part of the velvet and some antique lace appliques to cover damages and restore it. Because it has a tiny waist y put 4 velvet ribbons on the waist to be able to fit it to the mannequin. I honestly would totally wear it using some cool lace panties of the same color. Yes/ Show your panties!or like the model in the picture you just see the blouse.

Sourced in Buenos Aires, Argentina from the Estate of an amazing lady ( I cannot reveal her name but they called her Mamita (mummy in Spanish)). I will be listing amazing nightgowns with the full “Mamita” embroidered. Last picture is actually Mamita, check how stylish she was! She lived between Buenos Aires and Paris and she most of her clothes in Paris. There is a STUNNING cape of this era of the same estate. Please check it I am quite sure she wore it with this skirt.

 Condition: I think the condition is great for its age. Totally wearable but obviously delicate. The waist is what’s most damaged and its more delicate condition, can be worn as is an eventually is something easy to replace. I covered some issues in the waist with antique lace, a velvet ribbon and some of the velvet found in the embellishments that came with the bow. I covered some pin holes too in the satin (pictured). There are tiny details in the satin the upper part (pictured) but hardly noticeable white worn because the lace covers the satin. There are holes and damages in the chiffon lining of the satin skirt. Not noticeable, it’s the lining inside. The lace is almost perfect, there are 3 places with small damages (pictures) hardly noticeable.

Waist: 11 1/2”

Hips: 18”

Total Lenght Center: Front 43” - Back 58”

For your reference the mannequin is a women size Medium and it’s measurements are:

Bust: 88 cm / 34.64”

Waist: 66 cm / 25.98”

Hips: 90 cm / 35.43”

 The model is a size Small and her Measurements are:

Bust: 81.28 cm / 32

Waist: 68.58 cm / 27”

Hips: 88.9 cm / 35”

 PLEASE CHECK MEASUREMENTS BEFORE PURCHASE! Antique hand made items where handmade and differ to standard sizes. Please check the measurements closely for determining fit. I do not give sizes for vintage items as women's sizes are not standardized and a majority of these dresses were homemade or specialty made to fit one person. Also if vintage items are size tagged they usually run smalller comparing to the actual sizes. A good method to check is to measure a similar item that fits and compare.

Please Note :

Any accessories used in the picture are not included, there are there to show how the outfit could be worn or a decorative object. I need to be honest. I sell Vintage and Antique Clothing and I would say anything before 30s should be treated with care and worn with care. Mostly these items will be fragile especially 20s silk or Edwardian very fine Muslin. Some can not handle stress and will tear easily. Should be bought a size bigger where possible or should be a little loose on.

 Things to consider when buying Edwardian or Victorian clothing:If an item is marked XS but looks loose and big! It maybe has a Medium Shoulder and Hip but the waist is Tiny! (Corsets!). It may look big and loose but the shoulders or opening of the arm will be small, or the waist.

- The sleeves may not be long to the wrist but more of a 3/4.

- Buttons also may vary in shape and size on the same blouse, these blouses are old and would have lost buttons along the way.
