This exquisite vintage slip dress dates to the late 1930s–early 1940s, a period celebrated for its fluid silhouettes, romantic detailing, and lingerie-inspired elegance.

Crafted in softly draping satin, this piece features a beautifully shaped bodice with delicate floral lace panels and soft gathering that flatters the natural curves of the body. The gentle V neckline and wide straps create an elegant, feminine frame, while the flowing skirt moves effortlessly with every step.

I hand dyed this dress using a traditional tea-dye process, transforming its original pink tone into a warm, ethereal champagne-blush hue. As with all natural hand-dyeing, subtle tonal variations and soft shading developed during the process, creating a unique, softly aged patina that enhances its vintage character. No two hand-dyed pieces are ever exactly alike, making this dress truly one of a kind.

Small antique lace appliqués were carefully added to the skirt to preserve and strengthen the fabric while maintaining the integrity and beauty of the original design.

I added a soft silk sash ties at the waist, allowing you to adjust the fit and highlight the silhouette. Didn’t include the original one.

 Very good vintage condition with natural, hand-dyed tonal variations and gentle signs of age consistent with its history.

I do not give sizes for vintage items as women's sizes are not standardized and a majority of these dresses were homemade or specialty made to fit one person. I sell Vintage and Antique Clothing and I would say anything before 30s should be treated with care and worn with care. Mostly these items will be fragile especially 20s silk or Edwardian very fine Muslin. Some can not handle stress and will tear easily. Should be bought a size bigger where possible or should be a little loose on.
