One-of-a-kind vintage satin slip dress, believed to date from the 1950s or early 1960s, with an elegant fitted silhouette reminiscent of 1930s lingerie.

Individually hand-dyed in a luminous electric blue, the slip features organic tie-dye circles placed around the lower skirt. The color varies naturally throughout the fabric, creating beautiful areas of lighter and deeper blue that make the piece completely unique.

Designed with delicate spaghetti straps, a softly shaped neckline, geometric stitching across the bust, a defined waist, curved seams and a low V-shaped back. The long, fluid skirt drapes beautifully and catches the light with every movement.

A small vintage crochet flower appliqué was added by me at the front waist, bringing a charming handmade detail and a subtle touch of contrasting color.

There is no fabric label. The material is a lightweight, fluid vintage satin and could be rayon or a rayon blend.

Originally made as lingerie, this piece can now be worn as a striking summer dress. Style it simply with sandals, or pair it with boots and a jacket for a more contemporary look.

The variations in color, circular resist patterns and deeper blue markings are intentional characteristics of the hand-dyeing process. As with all vintage garments, minor signs of age and wear may be present and are part of the piece’s history and character.
