A romantic and beautifully restored 1930s satin hostess gown in a soft champagne blush hue.

This ethereal gown features sheer gathered  sleeves, delicate lace accents, floral embroidery, and a matching sash belt that gently defines the waist. The luminous silk catches the light beautifully, creating the dreamy elegance associated with the finest boudoir and lounge fashions of the 1930s.

Over the course of its nearly century-long history, the gown acquired areas of discoloration, wear, and silk fragility. Rather than allowing the garment to be lost, it was thoughtfully restored and given a second life. The satin was carefully tea-dyed to achieve its current soft champagne blush tone and to minimize age-related discoloration while preserving the romantic character of the piece.

Antique lace trims and lace appliqués were artistically incorporated to stabilize areas of wear and previous damage, including underarm areas (filet lace ribbons where andded to cover)  and scattered points of silk weakness. These restorations have become part of the garment’s story and contribute to its one-of-a-kind character.
