An enchanting antique ivory bridal gown with delicate beaded details, sheer long sleeves and a beautifully flowing skirt. A romantic piece for a bride drawn to historical fashion and the individuality of a lovingly restored dress.
The gown is made from a delicate, lightweight chiffon that appears to be silk, with a soft, fluid drape. There is no fabric label to verify the composition.
The bodice features a gently rounded neckline and curved bands of shell-shaped embellishments, accented with slender, reflective beads that add a subtle sparkle. Smaller shell-like motifs continue along the sheer sleeves to the decorated cuffs. Lace appliqués add texture throughout the gown.
A softly gathered sash wraps low around the hips and ties at the back, where cascading fabric flounces create a beautiful focal point. The long skirt falls in fluid folds and finishes in a generous ruffled hem, giving the gown graceful movement.
This piece has been extensively restored by Lulu Boop Vintage, with many hours devoted to carefully placing and sewing numerous lace appliqués, from tiny accents to larger decorative motifs. Added as part of the restoration, these appliqués complement the existing embellishments and are not original to the gown.
