A beautifully understated 1930s bridal slip dress featuring an elegant bias-cut silhouette and a striking embroidered lace bodice with a graceful deep V neckline. The simplicity of the skirt perfectly balances the intricate lacework, creating the timeless sophistication that makes true 1930s lingerie so desirable today.

The bodice is made from delicate embroidered lace with openwork inserts, while the skirt falls effortlessly from the empire waist, creating beautiful movement. A matching sash is included and may be tied to softly define the waist or removed for a looser, flowing silhouette.

Although there are no remaining fabric labels, the gown has the appearance, drape and hand of silk or a silk-blend crepe. Because the original content tag is no longer present, the exact fiber composition cannot be guaranteed and is therefore left to the buyer’s own assessment.

This piece has been carefully preserved and sympathetically restored where needed. A delicate antique appliqué has been hand sewn to discreetly cover a small imperfection on the skirt, while another lace repair has been placed near the hem. These restorations blend beautifully with the garment and respect its original character.

The embroidered bodice remains wonderfully preserved. The original finish along the neckline and armholes has become frayed and softened with age, and the edges are no longer perfectly finished. This is a visible age-related condition rather than a structural issue and has been left untouched to preserve the originality of the garment.
