An exquisite original 1930s bias-cut nightgown in a soft dusty lilac tone, hand-dyed to create a beautifully nuanced, one-of-a-kind finish.
The bodice features a sheer floral lace inset framed with delicate lace trim and finished with a small embroidered flower appliqué at the center. The long satin skirt falls fluidly over the body and finishes with a softly flared hem, while the deep V back gives the piece its unmistakably elegant 1930s silhouette.
This garment has been thoughtfully restored in the Lulu Boop Vintage atelier. Delicate lace trim was added along the original bodice seam lines to conceal and reinforce areas where the original stitching had become compromised. Small lace appliqués were added at the sides of the waist, along with the floral appliqué at the center front, creating a decorative finish that blends naturally with the original design.
The piece has been hand-dyed in a dusty lilac tone. Subtle variations in color are part of the hand-dyed process and add to the unique character of the garment.
A removable sheer ribbon belt is included and may be worn tied at the waist or removed for a cleaner silhouette.
