Be different. Wear UNIQUE, QUALITY items! Mix it up!

Welcome to Lulu Boop Vintage, where history meets style. Our curated collection breathes new life into vintage and antique clothing, allowing each piece to continue its story with you. We invite you to be a part of this journey—cherish these treasures, wear them with pride, and keep history alive.

This  vintage nightgown dates to the late 1930s–1940s, a period known for fluid silhouettes, feminine detailing, and beautifully draped silk garments designed to move softly with the body.

Crafted in lightweight silk chiffon, this piece features a graceful, flowing cut with long sleeves, delicate embroidered floral detailing at the bodice, and soft gathering at the back neckline. A small tie at the front neckline adds a romantic finishing touch.

Originally ivory, this garment has been hand-dyed twice by me first on bordeaux and then using natural tea and coffee, creating a rich, nuanced antique rose / wine tone with soft tonal variations throughout. Each area absorbed the dye differently, resulting in a one-of-a-kind, painterly finish that enhances its vintage character and depth.

During restoration, a few tiny pinholes were carefully stabilized and artistically covered with four hand-applied vintage lace appliqués, thoughtfully placed to blend seamlessly into the design while preserving the garment’s integrity and beauty.

The dress is styled here with a removable ribbon sash (not original), allowing it to be worn either as a flowing lounge gown or cinched at the waist for a modern, wearable silhouette.

Condition

Good vintage condition with thoughtful artistic restoration.

This piece has been professionally hand-dyed and restored. Subtle tonal variations and gentle shading are part of the hand-dye process and contribute to its unique, timeworn beauty. Four small areas were reinforced with vintage lace appliqués to cover tiny pinholes. All details are visible in photos.

Structurally sound, wearable, and ready to be enjoyed.

Styling Ideas

  • Perfect for collectors, artists, and lovers of slow fashion

Why This Piece Is Special

This is not simply a vintage garment — it is a restored, hand-dyed wearable artwork, created through hours of careful work to preserve and reimagine a rare silk piece for modern wear. No two garments I restore are ever alike.

A true heirloom piece for the collector who values craftsmanship, history, and individuality.

PLEASE CHECK MEASUREMENTS BEFORE PURCHASE!

Vintage and antique clothing often differ from modern standardized sizes. Many were handmade for an individual, so sizing can vary. Instead of relying on a labeled size, compare the given measurements to a garment that fits you well. If you have any questions about fit, feel free to ask—I’m happy to help!

Condition & Care

Vintage and antique items have been previously loved, so small imperfections may exist.

Hand-dyed pieces: Due to the nature of hand-dyeing, colors may not be perfectly even. Please wash these items delicately, preferably alone or with similar colors.

Antique fabrics (pre-1930s): Delicate materials such as 1920s silk or Edwardian muslin require extra care. These fabrics can be fragile and should be worn loosely to prevent stress or tearing.

Things to Consider for Edwardian & Victorian Clothing:

A marked XS piece may have medium-sized shoulders and hips but a tiny waist (corset-era sizing).

Sleeves are often ¾ length, not full-length.

Buttons may be mismatched due to age and previous repairs.
