A rare and beautifully restored later-she early 30s silk hostess gown in a soft champagne hue, hand dyed with tea to create a warm, aged ivory tone that complements the garment’s original character.
Crafted from luminous silk satin with delicate sheer silk sleeves and yoke, this elegant floor-length gown features its original floral appliqué design, including dimensional flowers and leaf motifs that frame the neckline, shoulders, and bodice. The flowing silhouette, flutter sleeves, and graceful drape embody the effortless glamour of the early 1930s.
During restoration, a small number of carefully placed appliqués were added to discreetly stabilize and conceal isolated areas of age-related wear while preserving the integrity of the original design. The result is a unique heirloom piece that celebrates both craftsmanship and conservation.
Finished with a silk ribbon sash, this gown can be worn as luxury loungewear, bridal boudoir attire, a special occasion piece, or treasured as a collectible textile.
