A romantic 1930s bridal slip dress thoughtfully reimagined and restored, preserving the elegance of the original while celebrating its history.
Cut on the bias from luminous ivory silk satin (no fabric tag remains; fiber has been identified to the best of our knowledge), this gown drapes beautifully with the effortless fluidity characteristic of the era.
The bodice features exquisite original pintucked panels, delicate embroidery and soft scalloped edging. Throughout the garment, antique damage has been carefully stabilized using hand-applied vintage lace appliqués, allowing the dress to retain both its beauty and its story. Each appliqué was individually selected and stitched by hand, creating a subtle textile collage that transforms previous imperfections into decorative design elements.
A larger vintage lace motif has been incorporated at the center bust, becoming a romantic focal point while harmonizing with the surrounding embroidery. Additional antique lace appliqués have been placed across the bodice, back and skirt to reinforce areas that once showed wear.
The gown is shown styled with a soft blush silk ribbon at the waist (included), adding a gentle touch of color while allowing endless styling possibilities.

The dress has been professionally cleaned and carefully repaired. Numerous antique lace appliqués have been intentionally added throughout the garment to stabilize previous areas of wear. Minor signs of age remain consistent with an authentic garment approaching a century old and contribute to its unique character.
No fabric content label remains. Clean and ready to wear.
