A dreamy late 1930s to early 1940s bias-cut satin nightgown, individually hand dyed in an ethereal palette of ocean blue, aqua and soft touches of sea green.
The bodice is beautifully detailed with delicate floral lace, curved inset lace panels and fine pintuck detailing. Its fluid bias-cut silhouette falls gracefully along the body and finishes in a softly flared floor-length hem.
An exceptionally romantic one-of-a-kind piece that can be worn as a nightgown, an evening dress or styled with contemporary accessories for a modern occasion.
There is no fabric-content label. Based on its appearance, drape and construction, the satin appears consistent with rayon, although the exact fiber content cannot be guaranteed.
Condition
Good vintage condition and structurally wearable.
The fabric shows some age-related damage, resulting in small raised and uneven areas in the surface, as shown in the close-up photos.
Measurements: All measurements are taken with the garment lying flat and should be compared with a similar garment that fits comfortably.
