A breathtaking late-1920s to early-1930s pure silk teddy in the dreamiest blush-pink, adorned with rare powder-blue lace — a pastel treasure from the golden age of boudoir fashion.

This piece is extraordinary not only for its color and condition but for the museum-level restoration done using authentic antique materials. The original shoulder straps were too fragile to save, so I replaced them with new satin ribbons in a period-accurate shade, soft and delicate against the skin.

The true magic is in the appliqués.

I added three rare antique appliqués — two triangular embroidered motifs and a tiny floral rosette — that I had been saving for years. These appliqués were impossible to match, and after holding them in my studio for so long, they finally found their perfect place on this piece. Their tones and workmanship blend seamlessly with the original silk and lace, elevating the teddy without altering its authenticity.

The silhouette is classic 1928–1934 lingerie: airy, lightly flared, and designed to float with the body. The blush silk paired with powder-blue lace makes this a magnificent “something blue” bridal piece, ideal for getting-ready photos, a honeymoon trousseau, or a romantic collection of heirloom lingerie.

Things to Consider for Edwardian & Victorian Clothing:

• A marked XS piece may have medium-sized shoulders and hips but a tiny waist (corset-era sizing).

• Sleeves are often ¾ length, not full-length.

• Buttons may be mismatched due to age and previous repairs.
