An exquisite antique bridal boudoir dress dating from the late 1920s to the early 1930s, showcasing the refined craftsmanship and understated elegance of the Art Deco era.
The bodice is beautifully constructed with rows of delicate hand-sewn pintucks alternating with embroidered sheer panels, creating an elegant geometric design that is both timeless and unmistakably of the period. The wide shoulder straps continue the pintuck detailing, while the graceful square neckline enhances the dress’s sophisticated silhouette.
As part of its careful restoration, an antique floral lace appliqué was thoughtfully added to the center front to reinforce a small imperfection. The appliqué blends seamlessly with the original design while preserving the garment’s beauty and character.
The skirt falls effortlessly from the bodice with a graceful, fluid drape and is finished with additional horizontal pintucks near the hem, adding subtle structure and movement.
The fabric appears to be silk based on its hand, drape, and soft sheen. However, because the garment has no content label, the fiber content cannot be guaranteed.
Whether displayed as part of a vintage collection, worn as bridal boudoir, styled as a romantic slip dress, or treasured as an heirloom textile, roused a s a cool summer dress, this is an exceptionally elegant example of late 1920s lingerie craftsmanship.
