Welcome to Lulu Boop Vintage — a curated world of antique and vintage garments, thoughtfully preserved and reimagined to be worn again. Each piece is one of a kind, carrying its own past and ready to become part of
A rare and beautifully preserved late Edwardian to early post-Edwardian summer dress, dating to circa 1915–1922, crafted in a lightweight ivory and pale blue striped natural fabric.
The dress features a striking deep V neckline, finished with delicate hand-applied scalloped trim that continues around the arm openings — a refined decorative detail characteristic of the WWI era, when elegance met practicality. The bodice is softly shaped, allowing the fabric to skim the figure without heavy corsetry, reflecting the transitional silhouette of the period.
The dress fastens at the back with original small buttons, as was customary for women’s dresses of the late Edwardian and World War I era, leaving the front uninterrupted and visually clean. From the waist, the long skirt falls fluidly to the ankles, terminating in a beautifully engineered chevron-patterned hem, created through careful placement of the striped fabric — a subtle yet sophisticated design element rarely seen today.
Light, breathable, and graceful in movement, this dress was likely worn as a refined day or summer dress, suitable for home, garden, seaside, or countryside wear. Its timeless lines allow it to feel both historically significant and surprisingly modern.
A highly wearable museum-quality antique, ideal for collectors, editorial styling, or the discerning wearer seeking an authentic piece of early 20th-century fashion history.
