A beautiful and elegant vintage slip dress dating to the 1930s, featuring a luminous satin skirt paired with a delicate embroidered semi-sheer bodice. The contrast between the fluid satin and the airy embroidered upper bodice gives this piece a wonderfully romantic, feminine character typical of the era.
The dress is cut on the bias, allowing it to skim the body with graceful movement. The embroidered bodice adds beautiful texture while the satin skirt falls softly to create an effortlessly elegant silhouette.
The original fabric label is no longer present, so the exact fiber content cannot be guaranteed. The skirt has the appearance and feel of satin, while the bodice is made from a delicate sheer embroidered fabric, likely chiffon or a similar lightweight textile.
As part of its careful restoration, a small decorative appliqué was thoughtfully added to the back. It blends naturally with the design while remaining fully disclosed.
