A romantic vintage boudoir gown dating to the 1970s, designed in a soft revival style inspired by earlier romantic silohuettes. 

Crafted from whisper-light sheer chiffon with wide lace shoulder straps and a graceful empire waist, this piece falls in long fluid folds that move beautifully with the body. A curved lace panel beneath the bust adds structure while maintaining the ethereal, sensual character typical of luxury lounge and boudoir wear of the era.

The gown has been carefully transformed by Lulu Boop Vintage through a second hand-dye process, resulting in its current rich fuchsia

Restoration notes:

• Hand dyed by Lulu Boop Vintage (re-dyed to achieve the present color)

• One small area of damage and one stain covered with a period lace appliqué

• Structurally sound and fully

Rather than disguising its history, these elements have been integrated as part of the garment’s story — a respectful revival intended to give the piece a new life.

Does not fit mannequin (size 2–4). Best suited for modern XS. Empire waist allows flexibility through the waist and hips, but bust measurement is key. Please review measurements

Originally intended as boudoir or lounge wear, this piece translates beautifully into modern styling as a sheer dress layered over slips, bodysuits, or contemporary

All measurements are taken with the garment lying flat (in inches). (1 inch = 2.54 cm)

• Armpit to armpit: 16"
• Waist: 13 3/4"
• Hips:29"
• End Width:34 1/2"
• Total Length (shoulder to hem): 47"

For your reference it didn’t fi the mannequin that is a women’s size 2-4USA c with the following measurements:

• Chest:  33.86”

* Shoulder: 15”

• Waist: 26.7”

• Hips: 24”

So probably a XS please check measurements.

• Antique fabrics (pre-1930s): Delicate materials such as 1920s silk or Edwardian muslin require extra care. These fabrics can be fragile and should be worn loosely to prevent stress or tearing.

Things to Consider for Edwardian & Victorian Clothing:

• A marked XS piece may have medium-sized shoulders and hips but a tiny waist(corset-era sizing).

• Sleeves are often ¾ length, not full-length.

• Buttons may be mismatched due to age and previous repairs.
