A one-of-a-kind vintage slip dress, thoughtfully transformed by hand into a completely unique piece.
Originally dating to the late 1930s–1940s, this elegant bias-cut gown has been hand dyed in warm taupe and chocolate tones, creating beautiful tonal variations throughout the satin. The subtle mottling and organic color movement are natural characteristics of the hand-dyeing process, making every piece truly one of a kind.
The bodice features rich chocolate floral lace with soft gathered panels beneath the bust, while the dramatic V-back creates an effortlessly elegant silhouette. Three carefully selected vintage lace appliqués have been added to preserve and celebrate the garment’s history: one at the shoulder, one beneath the bust, and one near the lower hem, each thoughtfully placed to enhance the design while covering areas of wear.
The original fabric label is no longer present, so the exact fiber content cannot be guaranteed. Based on its appearance and drape, it is likely satin.

Condition
Good vintage condition. Hand dyed and artistically restored using three vintage lace appliqués. The soft tonal variations and occasional darker areas throughout the satin are natural results of the hand-dyeing process and contribute to the garment’s one-of-a-kind appearance.
