Welcome to Lulu Boop Vintage — a curated world of antique and vintage garments, thoughtfully preserved and reimagined to be worn again. Each piece is one of a kind, carrying its own past and ready to become part of yours.

Some antique garments, like this one , requirte hours, sometimes days, of careful restoration before they can be worn again. Many would consider pieces like this too fragile to save, but I cannot bring myself to throw them away. Instead, I patiently restore them, allowing these beautiful garments to return to life and continue their story.

This was one was a white, long, beautiful antique silk boudoir slip dress dating from approximately the late 1920s to early 1930s, featuring a romantic Art Deco silhouette with delicate lace panels at the bodice and a fluid silk

The bodice is composed of softly patterned silk panels framed by antique lace, creating an elegant lingerie aesthetic typical of the period. The slender straps and flowing silhouette give the piece the timeless softness associated with early 20th century boudoir garments.

This piece was carefully hand dyed during the restoration process. Due to the extreme delicacy of the antique silk, the boiling dye process revealed weakened areas in the fabric and the lower skirt panel was shortened to preserve the integrity of the

The hem was finished with lace trim, and several vintage lace appliqués and trims were thoughtfully added to stabilize fragile areas and enhance the romantic character of the piece.

The subtle tonal variations and patina throughout the silk are the result of the hand dye process and the natural response of the antique fibers, giving the garment a unique, softly aged character.

The silk remains delicate, as expected for a garment of this age, but it remains wearable with care or ideal as a collectible antique boudoir piece.

The last picture shows how the piece was originally. Before and after renovations.
