A rare pure silk boudoir dress in the languid style of the late 1920s to early 1930s, preserved in its original deep black tone and thoughtfully restored using antique lace.
Cut in a loose chemise silhouette with a softly dropped waist, the piece features delicate spaghetti straps (remplaces by Lulu Boop Vintage) a square neckline inset with sheer floral lace, and lace insertion at the waistline. Adjustable side ties and an added satin ribbon belt allow the dress to be worn either flowing or gently shaped.
The pure silk fabric drapes beautifully with a soft, fluid movement and subtle sheen typical of fine early twentieth-century lingerie. Original damaged lace has been replaced with a beautiful antique panel, while additional vintage lace appliqués have been carefully applied to cover pin holes at the front.
The result is a unique one-of-a-kind garment that retains its period character while remaining fully wearable.

Condition
Excellent wearable vintage condition. Artistically restored with antique lace. Minor puckering at lace seams consistent with hand sewing and the age of materials. No major structural issues.
