Welcome to Lulu Boop Vintage — a curated world of antique and vintage garments, thoughtfully preserved and reimagined to be worn again. Each piece is one of a kind, carrying its own past and ready to become part of yours.
A truly one-of-a-kind piece from the Lulu Boop Vintage Reimagined Collection.
This elegant top began its life as an authentic 1930s embroidered nightgown. While the original skirt had become too fragile to preserve, the beautifully embroidered bodice remained remarkably intact. Rather than allowing this special garment to be lost, it has been thoughtfully reimagined into a timeless wrap-inspired top, giving it a beautiful new life while honoring its original craftsmanship.
The front showcases exquisite Art Deco embroidery featuring stylized floral motifs framed by geometric stitched detailing, a hallmark of the early 1930s. The graceful V-neckline and softly draped silhouette create an effortlessly elegant shape that feels both antique and surprisingly modern.
The original chiffon ruffle at the hem has been preserved and finished with its delicate lace trim, adding movement and a romantic finish. A matching wrap belt allows the waist to be adjusted for a flattering fit.
As part of its careful restoration, several fragile areas were stabilized using antique lace appliqués. One appliqué reinforces the underarm, while three additional antique lace appliqués on the back preserve areas where the original fabric had become damaged. These visible restorations are part of the garment’s story and celebrate its nearly century-long journey.
The original chiffon ruffle has been preserved; one small section is slightly shorter than the rest due to the restoration process and the condition of the original garment. This subtle variation is shown in the photographs and does not detract from the overall beauty or wearability of the piece.
No fiber content label remains. Based on the look and hand of the fabric, it may be silk or a very high-quality rayon of the period, but we cannot guarantee fiber content.
Professionally cleaned and ready to wear.
A completely unique collector’s piece that pairs beautifully with vintage lingerie, tailored trousers, linen pants, or your favorite jeans.
