A delicate Edwardian to early 1920s cotton slip dress, restored with care and intención.
This ethereal piece features a soft sheer cotton with a beautifully detailed antique lace neckline. The bodice is adorned with original pintucks, and scattered vintage lace appliqués have been thoughtfully added to cover previous damages, enhancing the romantic character of the garment rather than hiding its history.
The back features a center seam and small slit detail. The straps are delicate and feminine. The silhouette is straight and fluid, typical of the transitional period between late Edwardian and early 1920s lingerie dresses.
I carefully restored this piece by covering small imperfections on the front using antique lace. The waist ribbon shown in the photos is vintage and included — it allows the dress to be worn cinched at the waist or loose and flowing.
This piece can be styled in multiple ways
• As a modern summer dress with a silk slip underneath
• As a beach cover-up
• Layered over a fitted dress
• With a blazer and heels for an unexpected evening look
