This rare late 1920s silk chiffon flapper dress is one of those extraordinary pieces that immediately captures attention. Delicate blush pink silk chiffon frames an exceptional openwork lace panel that runs the full length of the front and continues into the beautifully detailed collar, creating a striking Art Deco silhouette unlike anything I’ve come across before.
The dress retains its original matching slip. It has been photographed both with and without the slip so you can appreciate both the remarkable transparency of the chiffon and the complete original ensemble.
To preserve the integrity of this antique treasure, I carefully stabilized a few fragile areas with tiny vintage pink floral appliqués. They blend softly into the design while respecting the history of the garment and remain fully visible in the photographs.
The fluid cut allows the dress to drape beautifully on different body types. It has been photographed on both my Small and Large mannequins to demonstrate its versatility. The final photograph shows the dress on the Large mannequin. Please rely on the garment measurements for the most accurate fit.

Condition
Very good antique condition.
Expected signs of age are present, consistent with a garment approaching one hundred years old. Several tiny vintage floral appliqués have been thoughtfully added to reinforce a few delicate areas while preserving the original character of the dress. Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
