A wonderfully romantic 1930s nightgown in the softest pale peach, designed with a long, fluid bias-cut silhouette and a matching self-tie sash. The color has the slightest blush undertone and may appear subtly different depending on the light.
The bodice is beautifully constructed with softly gathered cap sleeves and a wide panel of antique cream lace threaded with pink satin ribbon. Tiny ribbon bows accent the neckline, while layers of matching lace and pink ribbonwork create an exceptionally pretty ruffled hem. The low square back and sweeping floor-length silhouette give the gown an unmistakable Old Hollywood elegance.
Two later vintage textile additions were carefully placed to preserve and embellish the piece: an embroidered floral appliqué on the skirt and a small embroidered flower at the upper back. Both were added by Lulu Boop Vintage and complement the gown’s original palette beautifully.
There is no remaining maker or fabric-content label, so we cannot guarantee the exact fiber composition. The fabric has a smooth, lightweight satin-like finish and a lovely fluid drape.
The gown remains beautiful and wearable, with signs of its nearly century-long history. Please note a long area of pale discoloration along one side, shown clearly in the photographs. Because of its soft tone, it blends into the overall appearance when worn but remains visible upon closer inspection. The added appliqués and all other age-related details are also photographed.
