Be different. Wear UNIQUE, QUALITY items! Mix it up!

This exceptional antique slip dress dates to the 1920s–early 1930s, a golden era of lingerie-inspired fashion known for fluid silhouettes, delicate fabrics, and refined femininity. Originally ivory, this piece has been artistically hand-dyed using tea and coffee, creating a warm, luminous palette of cream, honey, and soft amber tones with a naturally layered, painterly finish.

The dress is beautifully constructed with contrasting luxury fabrics:

  • Bodice: Lightweight silk chiffon, softly sheer and delicately embroidered
  • Skirt & Back: Smooth  satin, providing elegant drape and subtle

This combination was highly prized in high-quality lingerie and slips of the late 1920s, offering both visual depth and graceful

The tea and coffee dye process has enhanced the fabric’s natural texture, creating subtle gradients and gentle shading that give the garment a romantic, timeworn elegance. Each area absorbs dye differently, resulting in a truly one-of-a-kind patina.

Era Circa 1920s–Early 1930s

A transitional piece bridging the flapper era and early Hollywood glamour, designed to drape softly and move beautifully with the body.

Condition

Very good antique condition with expected, gentle signs of age. Minor areas of wear have been thoughtfully stabilized and enhanced with vintage lace appliqués. The hand-dyed finish features natural variations that contribute to the piece’s artistic character. Please review all photo

PLEASE CHECK MEASUREMENTS BEFORE PURCHASE!
Vintage and antique clothing often differ from modern standardized sizes. Many were handmade for an individual, so sizing can vary. Instead of relying on a labeled size, compare the given measurements to a garment that fits you well. If you have any questions about fit, feel free to ask—I’m happy to help!
Condition & Care
• Vintage and antique items have been previously loved, so small imperfections may exist.
• Hand-dyed pieces: Due to the nature of hand-dyeing, colors may not be perfectly even. Please wash these items delicately, preferably alone or with similar colors.
• Antique fabrics (pre-1930s): Delicate materials such as 1920s silk or Edwardian muslin require extra care. These fabrics can be fragile and should be worn loosely to prevent stress or tearing.
Things to Consider for Edwardian & Victorian Clothing:
• A marked XS piece may have medium-sized shoulders and hips but a tiny waist (corset-era sizing).
• Sleeves are often ¾ length, not full-length.
• Buttons may be mismatched due to age and previous repairs.
