1920s Antique Silk Slip Dress – Restored Flapper Era Beauty
This stunning 1920s silk slip dress is a rare piece of antique luxury lingerie, lovingly restored for modern wear. Crafted from soft, fluid beige silk, it carries the unmistakable charm of the flapper era—elegant, understated, and effortlessly sensual.
I gave this beauty the care she deserved: replacing damaged straps with vintage lace trim, hand-sewing an antique lace border along the top, and adding three vintage lace appliqués on the back to cover tiny imperfections. A pearled appliqué at the center of the chest adds a subtle, luminous touch—just the right amount of old-world glamour.
The result is a piece that feels as luxurious as it looks. Wear it as cool, elevated loungewear or style it as the ultimate summer dress. Pair with strappy sandals and a straw hat for a garden party look, or layer it under a linen blazer with vintage heels for a chic dinner outfit.
