A rare and romantic antique boudoir teddy dating to the late 1920s–early 1930s, crafted in luminous silk and softly tea-dyed to a warm peach-apricot tone. The piece was originally a cooler pink, and the gentle tea bath has given it a beautifully mellow, time-worn patina that enhances its antique character.
The silhouette is characteristic of the interwar period, with a loose, straight drape, delicate straps, and graceful movement.
Originally designed as intimate boudoir wear, it now reads as an ethereal slip dress — sensual, fragile, and unmistakably antique.
Scattered lace appliqués lend a poetic softness, while the lace-trimmed hem completes the romantic look.
✧ Restoration & Condition
The silk fabric is extremely delicate, consistent with its age, and should be handled gently.
Several areas of wear and small damages have been carefully stabilized and artistically covered with vintage-style appliqués to preserve both structure and beauty. The appliqué at the front was added purely as a decorative element and does not conceal damage.
The shoulder straps were previously damaged and have been thoughtfully reforced using vintage ribbon in a complementary tone, preserving the romantic spirit of the garment while allowing it to remain wearable.
The garment has been gently tea-dyed from its original pink tone to soften discoloration and create a harmonious antique
Despite its fragility, the piece presents beautifully and retains the airy elegance of antique silk lingerie.
